READING PLUS ON-LINE
What Is It? Reading Plus On-Line is a computer based reading program that can be accessed on-line.
What Does It Do? Basically, the program's purpose is to develop reading fluency and comprehension skills in all readers. Pave and Guided Reading are the anchors of this program. However, there are other additional programs that can be used to supplement Pave and Guided Reading that offer additional practice in vocabulary and comprehension skills.

How Does It Work? The program must be administered in a very consistent manner. Students should be exposed to the program on a regular basis at least three times per week for at least thirty minutes. Data indicates that after forty hours or forty to sixty Guided Reading lessons, students should have reached a sustainable level. To gain fluency, the eyes need to be coordinated and working together. Therefore, this program is therapeutic in nature, training the eyes to move together in a fluid manner.

Who May Benefit from Reading Plus?
— Those who are motivated to increase their rate of reading and comprehension.
—Those with mild visual/functional difficulties. Students who often re-read, skip words or lines of print, lose their place while reading, or have poor eye-hand coordination.
—Those who have not developed fluency.
—Those with mild lapses in attention.

How Do I Get Started? Contact Julie Bohn at jbohn3@cox.net if you have students that you feel may benefit from the Reading Plus Program. An initial Visagraph test will be performed to determine the functional reading level of that student's eyes. From that data a program will be developed to meet the needs of the student.
