I believe that pride should be a reflection of what an organization does. Pride can be
demonstrated through example, volunteer efforts or voice. Pride is something that is earned
through commitment and belief. South Central Kansas Special Education Cooperative is
proud to provide services for students with special needs throughout fifteen districts. Debra
Engelbrecht has captured that pride in pictures that she is sharing with us. She has traveled
to each district and taken pictures of each building that we serve. She has volunteered her
time and expertise to create timeless photos that are now on display in the SCKSEC
conference room. Currently, we have the Pratt and South Barber school districts available
to view.
As we continue to display our pride, we will feature all fifteen districts photos. This is a reflection of how important our district schools, staff and students are to us. The true focus throughout SCKSEC is our students. I would like to request all teachers consider sending artwork featuring creations from your students. We will display artwork for approximately one month, then send back to the designated classroom
teacher. Dani Ricke has provided some projects created by her Early Childhood students. It is a privilege to display pieces reflecting students’ imagination. Please help us display PRIDE in our students by sending pieces that can be hung. Contact Michelle our Early Childhood Secretary to sign up for a specific month of the year. Thank you, Debra and Dani for helping us demonstrate pride in what we do!
