Hello all!
Welcome to the first...unfortunately not for some of you...broken promise of the 2010-11 school year. I hoped my first blog would happen sooner than this, but it didn't. Things are getting closer to settling in around here and many of you are back at school helping our kids. I am working on setting up a schedule so that I can get out of the office to see all of you and check in, I am excited to see all of the cool things that are going on at your schools.
The paraeducator site is up and going, the link is on the right hand side of the scksec home page (New ParaEducator Network). Once you click on that button it will redirect you to the login page. Your username is your first initial followed by your last name @scksec.com. Your password is SCK605 followed by your first and last initial. Thanks to Jeremy for getting all of that up and running!!! Once you login you must claim a license under my subscriptions and my available subscriptions. Then you have access to all of the learning modules under "My assigned content". Remember that you need to send in a transcript with your in-service form, you can print that out from the same area under "My Trancripts". Hopefully that clears up any questions you may have concerning the Para Learning Network.
Right now, that is the main issues I needed to cover, I enjoyed seeing all of you at the Pre-Service and the subsequent orientation meetings for new people and returning paras that were unable to attend the Pre-Service. I hope to be out and about soon and am looking forward to a great year at SCKSEC!
