  2. Lexia
    • Students on Individual Education Plans require intensive levels of instruction provided through a carefully developed and monitored educational plan. Lexia Reading programs supplement the instructional needs of these students and support professional teaching staff in their efforts to meet the unique educational challenges of special education students. Lexia’s emphasis on explicit, systematic and structured skills development is ideally suited for students with diagnosed learning disabilities. Lexia’s reporting features provide real-time data on student performance and identify immediately to educators where students are struggling.

Lexia programs complement the intense individualized instruction provided to Special Education students with an independent, computer-based experience that supports and extends instructional resources. Resource room teachers often integrate Lexia programs into their small group instructional models to provide students with a learning center activity that can be used without supervision, supplementing individual learning needs and identifying students’ instructional needs.

  3. Reading Plus
    • Reading Plus® is a browser-based reading intervention system that uses innovative technology to provide individualized scaffolded silent reading practice for students in second grade and higher.

Reading Plus® picks up where phonics and oral reading instruction leave off, providing rapid and sustainable comprehension and silent reading fluency gains. Reading Plus® develops sustained attention, word recognition automaticity, grade-appropriate reading rates, enhanced vocabulary, and improved reading comprehension.

The Reading Plus® system, designed in alignment with current reading research, develops and improves reading proficiency in students who are not responding to core interventions, and provides effective practice for students who are established readers. The seven component programs of Reading Plus® provide extensive engagement in high-success, differentiated reading activities.
