- The Hutchinson Newspaper in Education program strives to provide quality educational tools and programs for schools throughout our distribution area. The main goals of the NIE program are to enhance the learning process of students, encourage strong, daily reading habits by our young, and to develop students' interest in local community.
- Through the NIE program, classroom sets of newspapers and educational supplements are available at no charge to a limited number of classrooms through donations by area businesses and organizations.

- Each day, CNN produces a short review of the days headlines in a format designed for students in grades 6-12. The video lasts about 12 minutes with quiz questions provided for a quick check. This is an excellent way to incorporate current events and the students love it.
